Analytical and Testing Center of School of Pharmacy, Fudan University, was expanded from the instruments room of Institute of Materia Medica to adapt to new environmental requirements after it moved to Zhangjiang area in 2009. It can carry out analytical testing independently now.

      Under the continuous funding assistance from 211 and 985 projects of education ministry, key project of Shanghai national and double first-class construction projects, high-level local university construction projects in Shanghai, so far, the center has found the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Laboratory, Spectroscopy Laboratory, Chromatography laboratory and Cell Biology Laboratory. After integrating the traditional Chinese medicine quality testing platform of Jinchuang Building in 2020, the total area of the center has exceeded to 1000 square meters, with more than 60 large-scale instruments and equipments, which are worth more than 50 million RMB.  The center is not only an important experimental base for scientific research, but also an important department for professional technicians training in the school. Through its excellent technical service capabilities, the center not only services for scientific research in the school but also for public analysis and test in Zhangjiang or Shanghai areas.

      Relying on the excellent teachers and technicians in the school, the center has eight full-time technicians, two of them have senior professional titles and five of them have doctorate degree. It’s a highly trained and experienced team and it can provide the professional support and excellent services. The developmental direction of the center has always focused on the resource sharing of large-scale instruments and the cross-research of various projects, comprehensively develop the functions of the instruments, and improving the efficiency of using the instruments. Since its establishment, the team has made good achievements in scientific research and drug transformation, and has also won a good reputation in the field.
